Gratitude Journal Prompts

1) Write down a list of things that you value in your life.

Are you living in a way that prioritizes those values?

The purpose is to recognize what is important for you and then make more time for it.

2) Write about- When do you feel the most alive? How can you find ways to do this more often?

It is important to understand what makes you feel alive.

Every person has a purpose in life. They have unique talents and abilities. Realizing what makes you happy is a great clue to what you are here on earth to do.

3) How would you live your life if you stopped caring about what others think of you?

Be true to yourself and answer this prompt. It will reveal your inner desires. Most desires remain unexplored because we are afraid of receiving criticism from society.

What if you stop thinking this way? Can you achieve more? Come on, we only have one life to fulfill our desires!

Maybe there is something that you have always wanted to do but you are scared to because of judgment and criticism from your near and dear fellows.

Stop caring about what other people thought of you and start living life to your fullest.

4) What do you think life has been trying to teach you lately? What are the signs that make you feel this way?

We learn a lesson from every phase of our lives.

A big lesson that life has been teaching me over the past couple of years is to not be afraid of change.

I tend to live in my comfort zone and I was super scared of the changes that were drastically happening in my life.

Life taught me that change is the only constant.

Later on, when I accepted the fact, I realized that change can be very beautiful. It is very important to come out of our bubbles and experience life in the best possible way.

5) Can you recall a time you were struggling? What advice would you give yourself?

Life is full of ups and downs. There must be a couple of times when you felt like it is over but you slowly overcame the challenge.

In my case, it was in high school when I had some serious health issues. I still have that! But I have learned to deal with it.

6) What is the one piece of advice that you would give to your younger self?

As a high school student, I used to stress about every single thing every day! I stopped going out with friends and gave up on every single joy in life thinking that things would eventually get better with time.

Unfortunately, life doesn’t get better with time. There is always a new set of problems showing up every week. So, value the present moment and enjoy it the way it is.

7) Give yourself a rating in every area of life that matters to you.

Rate yourself from 0 to 10 about how satisfied you are in that area and how much you need to improve.

It could be about relationships, financial goals, wellness or creativity. Accomplish each one of them depending on the priority.

After you rate yourself, look at the areas that need the most work.

Pick just 1-2 areas where you want to focus for the next two months.

8) Do you want to try anything new this year that might push you out of your comfort zone?

Always think about how to get out of your comfort zone. Remember, the comfort zone hinders self-growth. If you want to accomplish your dreams, it is very important to go out of your comfort zone.

Keep pushing your boundaries and indulge in doing something that you haven’t done before.
